Premier Power Engines for One Make Series

Performance continuity is crucial in a One Make Series. Premier Power prides itself on its ability to build and performance measure engines to strict output levels.

Engines are not only tested following initial build or after any maintenance work but are also measured against a set dyno reference engine. This enables us to guarantee performance output levels to extremely fine tolerances. Premier Power builds these engines with ultimate reliability in mind, fitting components such as uprated valve springs and connecting rod bolts if required. Another option we recommend on engines for this purpose is the installation of Fuel and Oil Pressure Sensors, which when linked to a data logger via the ECU are crucial for diagnostic and scutineering issues. These engines are supplied with security seals fitted to ensure they remain in the specification they were when supplied.

Premier Power fully appreciates the necessity for identical engine performance in a one make Championship. We pride ourselves with the level of continuity we get from our engines. We go to extreme lengths to ensure all our customers running in a particular race series receive engines with identical performance. All of these engines are run-in and tested on the dyno and then performance measured against our very own dyno reference engine. Should a customer damage an engine or require a spare engine, they can rest assured that the engine supplied in the flight case will be at the same performance level as the engine being replaced, when that was initially installed. This gives drivers and engineers a lot of confidence as the doubt of whether an engine is as good as their original one, is taken out of the equation.

Following an engine’s build and then performance testing on the dyno, they are fully inspected before they are dressed and sent out to customers. Valve clearances, cylinder leakage tests, cylinder bore scopes and oil scavenge filters are all checked to ensure the engine is in perfect condition before the engine can be released. If required, engines can be fitted with seals to prevent customers tampering with engines for whatever reason. Engines are then dressed to ensure they are as near ready as possible for in vehicle installation to reduce down time at an event.
If you are a vehicle manufacturer considering running a one make race series then please contact us to discuss your requirements. We have no doubt that you will benefit from our services.
